Synod was urged to ask all parishioners to
1. Vote!
2. Ask the candidates in your ward what they plan to do (e.g. Will you act to increase affordable and supportive housing for Ottawa’s most vulnerable citizens? Will you support the re-investment of social services costs being removed from the property tax base into affordable and supportive housing? Will you support the use of a portion of this money for Cornerstone’s new supportive housing for 42 homeless women and seniors, to be opened in June 2011?)
