Whether you wish to be a regular supporter of the church or are making a one-time donation, we offer the following options:

2. Online through CanadaHelps (using a credit card). Click here to donate through CanadaHelps.
3. Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) – Fill out this PAR form ** or email the office stmarks@stmarksottawa.ca to request a form.
4. Weekly or monthly envelopes Contact the office to request envelopes.
5. By MAIL to: St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 1606 Fisher Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 1X6
6. In person single donations by cheque or cash when in-person services are being held or when office is open

A tax receipt will be issued for all donations to the church. If the donation is made through CanadaHelps, the tax receipt will be issued by them. For all other donations, tax receipts will be issued by the church at the end of the year unless a earlier receipt is specifically requested. Tax receipts can be emailed or printed and mailed.

E Transfer (Interac Transfer)

E-Transfer is an email method for parishioners to transfer funds on-line directly from their bank accounts into St Mark’s bank account. You are able to specify your envelope number (if you have one) and if you have any specific requests for the allocation of the funds being sent (i.e. regular offering, outreach, PWRDF, other fundraising drives etc.). Since St Mark’s cannot do autodeposit, you must let the office know what the answer to your security question is.

CanadaHelps

CanadaHelps is an on-line donation program for charitable organizations that allows donors to give to St Mark’s sporadically, biweekly, monthly or as a one-time donation. You may direct your donation to different ministries (e.g. Flowers, Memorials, Christmas, Easter). CanadaHelps issues the tax receipts directly to donors and you can choose whether you want your receipt sent right away or at the end of the year. Click here to donate through CanadaHelps.

PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance)

PAR is a direct debit program, processed on the 20th of each month, that allows parishioners to support St Mark’s through an automatic monthly withdrawal from their bank account. You are able to increase or decrease the monthly amount as long as the change request is received before the beginning of the month for which the change is desired.

PAR enrollment forms/brochures can be requested from the office or can be found online at the link above. Your completed form can be placed on the offertory plate when in-person services are available, be mailed in, or be dropped off at the church office (when open).

Fees

It should be noted that any method of contribution has an associated processing fee.

CanadaHelps – The fee to St Mark’s ranges between 3.5% and 3.75% of the value of each transaction.

PAR – The fee to St Mark’s is $0.50 per monthly transaction for automatic withdrawal from a bank account.

Envelopes – There is a cost to St Mark’s of a few dollars per box of envelopes. There may also be bank charges if cash or cheque processing limits are exceeded. (This does not happen often.)

Note, however, that there is no cost to St Mark’s for Interac transfers. A fee, if one, is charged to the contributor by their bank. Please check your bank account’s fee structure.
